IntelliCuff continuously measures and automatically maintains the cuff pressure during mechanical
ventilation of adults, pediatrics, and neonates using a cuffed endotracheal tube or tracheostomy. It
secures airway management in typical clinical situations, either as standalone device for all mechanical
ventilators or as integrated solution for the HAMILTON-G5/S1* and the HAMILTON-C6*.

IntelliCuff technology
IntelliCuff is designed for immediate use; no calibration is required. It operates in a wide, but still safe range of desired cuff pressures for various cuffed endotracheal tubes to provide suitable solutions for various clinical situations.
You just set the desired cuff pressure, which is then maintained automatically. In addition, IntelliCuff offers you a range of tools to support your daily routine:

• Time-limited hold function allows cuff pressure to be increased for a defi ned time period**
• Safety alarms for disconnection, leak, and high pressure
• Cuff pressure can be set from 5 cmH2O up to 50 cmH2O
• Automatic defl ation on command, helping support smooth extubation
• Single-use tubing with bacterial filter for patient safety
• Shut-off valve prevents loss of pressure in case of accidential disconnection

Great flexibility – IntelliCuff as a standalone device

Encased in housing as a handheld device, the IntelliCuff technology can be used with all mechanical ventilators in various clinical situations, and even during air transport at higher altitudes. A large-scale display and convenient interaction buttons make adjusting and verifying settings easy. All the important
data is visible at any time.

Using the click mechanism on the included bracket, you can quickly attach IntelliCuff to any standard handrail or infusion pole, or detach it with just one hand to change settings. The device uses standard, rechargeable AA batteries, which can be charged via USB interface or with the included power adapter.

Reduced complexity – IntelliCuff as an integrated solution

With integration of the IntelliCuff technology into the HAMILTON-G5/S1 and the HAMILTON-C6, the same unique user interface that allows you to adjust the ventilation therapy as required also shows the cuff pressure control and monitoring parameters on the Ventilation Cockpit.

In addition, the integrated solution offers you the option of setting the cuff pressure relative to the peak airway pressure*. IntelliCuff then maintains a constant difference between the two pressures to ensure a tight seal.
